Uncatalogued Work

An accomplished draughtswoman and calligrapher, Una did illustrations for journals and annuals on commission.  She designed and scribed a series of booklets of religious meditations in the 1960s, written by her uncle, poet and Sinn Féin activist Brian O’Higgins, which drew on the Celtic manuscript tradition. On this page, we show a selection of the many impromptu sketches and drawings she did as well as some of her watercolours, uncatalogued oils and illustrative work.
